Kevin Connell is the assistant managing editor for Gridiron Now, a college football media outlet. He’s also a freelance digital producer for Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic in the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area.
Previously, Kevin was The University of Alabama beat writer for Tide 99.1 WDGM-FM (now Tide 102.9) in Tuscaloosa, where he focused on football and men’s basketball. During his tenure at the sports talk radio station, he covered the Crimson Tide’s 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship in Arizona and its subsequent celebratory White House visit. He also served as Tide 99.1’s sideline reporter for radio broadcasts of Tuscaloosa County (Ala.) High School football games in fall 2015.
Kevin earned a bachelor of arts in journalism and communication studies from the University of Alabama in December 2015, graduating magna cum laude from the school in three and a half years. He was a staff reporter for The Crimson White, Alabama’s student newspaper, for two years, where he primarily covered Crimson Tide baseball and football.
He is from Northern Virginia, where he currently resides.
